it was done in photoshop. Just copied the layer with my lil spore guy on it. did a Gaussian blur, and lowered the brightness till it was black... then I messed around with it by doing the free transform/ distort

ah. I'm used to the not-so-vast possibilities of Paint (which I do EVERYTHING with >.< )
